Brenntag Pharma has extended its collaboration with Citribel for the distribution of citric acids and citrates.

In addition to the longtime cooperation on the Pharma markets of France, Spain, Germany and Benelux, Citribel is now offered to Brenntag Pharma customers in Israel, Turkey and South Africa (RSA).

A unique surface fermentation process creates premium bioproducts, offering a wide range of high-quality European citric acids and citrates with distinctive properties. Sugar molasses, a byproduct from sugar refineries, serves as the primary raw material.

Citribel citric acids and citrates come in the forms of Citric acid anhydrous, Citric acid monohydrate, Trisodium citrate dihydrate, Monosodium citrate anhydrous and Citric acid solution 50 percent and serves the Pharma purposes of acidifying agent, buffering agent, chelating agent, mineral source, stabilizing agent, tablet disintegrant and taste-masking.

Citribel is a truly circular producer of citric acid, citrates and other high-value co-products. Circularity is central to its production, using sugar molasses as a raw material.
