Corning Incorporated, SGD Pharma to set up pharma packaging facility in Telangana

Corning Incorporated is collaborating with SGD Pharma to set up a top-notch facility for manufacturing pharmaceutical packaging glass in Telangana. This was stated by Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao on the sidelines of BioAsia Summit 2023. As per reports, both companies will jointly invest over Rs 500 crore for setting up the facility.

US-headquartered Foxx Life Sciences will be investing Rs 200 crore to expand capabilities in pharmaceutical SUT. Another major investment came from the Surface Measurement Systems group of companies, a major in particulate material, which announced the opening up of particle characterisation laboratories (PCL) with an investment of over $200 million as initial capital investment.
