CPHI and PMEC India 2023 Concludes Showcasing Innovation and Sustainability

The 16th edition of CPHI and PMEC India Expo concluded successfully at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. CPHI & PMEC India 2023 offered a platform for stakeholders to participate in extensive dialogues covering various aspects of the pharma industry including machinery, packaging, analytical instruments, equipment, ancillaries, laboratory technologies, ingredients, etc. 

The event brought together approximately 50,000 visitors and 1,800 exhibitors from 80 countries. Meanwhile, the Pharma Leaders Roundtable emerged as a highlight of the event fostering conversations among the industry leaders. Pharma Industrial India was the official media partner of CPHI & PMEC India 2023.

CPHI and PMEC India 2023 witnessed various product launches. Here’s a sneak peek at a few interesting product showcased during the event.

Romaco took advantage of this year’s CPHI & PMEC India to showcase its latest development in the high-productivity tableting sector and demonstrated the enormous energy saving potential of its innovative fluid bed technology.

Romaco’s latest tablet press for the high speed sector – the Kilian E 710 Smart double-sided rotary press for high volume production was showcased at the event. The VENTILUS® Lab fluid bed processor from Romaco Innojet attached to an Innojet IHD 5 hot melt device was also a highlight at the exhibition.

Medical and biopharmaceutical device manufacturer Freudenberg Medical developed a conductive silicone compound used for smart therapeutic devices that delivers electrical currents and can be used to encapsulate sensitive electronics for smart wearables.

Freudenberg Medical expanded its Galway manufacturing operation by 50 percent this year. The expansion is a strategic move to meet global demand for the company's critical metal components used in minimally invasive surgical catheters.

Freudenberg’s identical manufacturing facilities - in the USA and Germany - ensure high quality cleanroom production of tubing, and a secure supply chain for customers.

Freudenberg Medical designs and manufactures the HelixMark® and PharmaFocus® Premium brands of silicone tubing for biopharmaceutical fluid processing.

PharmaFocus® Premium platinum-cured silicone tubing was designed to meet the demanding requirements of single-use pharmaceutical and bioprocessing applications and has been extractables tested for BPOG and USP 665 protocols with a full validation package. The PharmaFocus® product line includes standard, braid reinforced, and peristaltic pump tubing.

HelixMark® silicone tubing is available off-the-shelf and ready to ship in a wide array of product types and sizes including color stripe, peristaltic pump, and opaque tubing as well as stoppers and clamp gaskets. HelixMark® offers a choice of silicone raw material from the major suppliers including Dupont™ Liveo™, Wacker®, Momentive™, and Nusil®.

Freudenberg recently introduced HelixTC™ overmolded sanitary ends in silicone for use in bioprocessing and single-use fluid transfer applications. Freudenberg also manufactures T-mold, X and Y connectors, and custom assemblies.
