Global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), Recipharm, has announced the completion of a new analytical laboratory at its facility in Bengaluru. The new lab has been in full operation since August 1, 2021.
The new 370 m2 area is fully cGMP compliant and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and instruments to cater for the rising demand from customers for the company’s stand-alone Recipharm Analytical Solutions.
It is designed to help customers with timely, reliable outsourced support for analytical services from concept through to commercial. The new laboratory will accommodate 40 scientists and will bolster the team’s capacity to support additional projects.
Dr Ramesh Jagadeesan, assistant vice president, Recipharm said: “It’s great to be able to announce the inauguration of our new analytical laboratory under Recipharm Analytical Solutions. Despite all the challenges the pandemic has presented, our team has worked diligently to complete the project and ensure the laboratory is operational, on time.”

Recipharm has also appointed Manivel Thangapragasam as associate director to lead the new laboratory. He brings 21 years of experience in the field of analytical development and stability studies.
